GoTime Happy Hour Spotlight: Art of the Table
Our favorite foodie Kate Opatz takes us along for the ride on her dining adventures:
What’s better than happy hour? Well, a happy night, of course. At Art of the Table, Mondays are just happy. Really, it’s delightful anytime you find an excellent restaurant that is open on Mondays, but it doesn’t hurt that this one offers affordable small plates, $5 glasses of wine, and $26 bottles.
The small plates vary weekly, but a recent Monday offered hearty lamb Bolognese pasta, flavor packed toast topped with black trumpet mushrooms and porcini purée, and roasted eggplant and fennel with goat cheese. Vegetables are treated with care at Art of the Table – the meal was over before I realized we’d ordered only one meat dish. Even in winter, everything is both fresh and flavorful.
The restaurant is tiny – just a small, triangular room with no more than eight tables. Since no reservations are taken on happy Mondays, it’s best to arrive early or after nine.

Happy hour once a week and only 8 tables – I’m kinda liking how limited it is. $26 bottles sounds a bit pricey for happy hour but those small plates sound amazing. Is it a good date spot? Will definitely have to check this out. Thanks for the heads up!
