GoTime Happy Hour Spotlight: Oliver’s Lounge

November 10, 2009 · 16 comments

Did you know back in ’76 a lawOliver's Interior was repealed enabling peoMayflower Parkple to look through windows into bars from the outside?  Oliver’s Lounge was quick to jump on board, installing 24′ windows.   They did this not just because they wanted to be the 1st bar on the west coast to do so (which they were), but because they genuinely care about their guests and making their time at this luscious lounge as appealing as possible.

One thing that’s helping maintain that appeal is the happy hour, where complimentary apps are the big feature.  Yes I said complimentary, as in FROlivers Complimentary EatsEE.  Get in there, get one of their famous martinis (or award winmartinining cocktails), and get a plate to enjoy all the delicious little bites they have to offer. How many spots in Seattle can honestly say they give ANYTHING away for free now–a-days?  With the economy in the state it’s in, I’m surprised McDonalds hasn’t started charging for ketchup!  And yet… dear sweet Oliver’s stands true with their tall gorgeous windows and their complimentary appetizers at happy hour.  Located adjacent to the  Mayflower Park Hotel lobby, somehow this lounge remains a hidden gem in the backyard that is Downtown Seattle.  A delightful treat.

Just when you thought the free giving spirit was limited to only the happy hour, Oliver’s is stepping up their game!  You know the drill, 3 ways to enter and we’ll draw the winner of a $50 GC to Oliver’s Lounge in the Mayflower Park Hotel at the end of the week!  GOOD LUCK!

I have YEARS of memories from wonderful times at Oliver’s. It’s the ONE PLACE I take special people in my life…my husband, my best friend Patrick, my daughter in law on her 21st birthday…so many.

It’s just tradition for us to go to Oliver’s anytime we’re in the city. Fantastic drinks, great servers–SUSAN!!; and from back in the day, Ruston. He always made an amazing gin sour!

Lots of love to Oliver’s and the Mayflower Park Hotel!!
